Comparing Census DataNow you are going to work like a geographer or an economist to compare data from two different census periods. You will need a copy of the Census Data Table in your worksheet packet. Record your calculations on the table. You will use the census information to compare the two years, 1790 and 1830. You will see if the population in each Maryland county increased or decreased, and by how much. You can use a calculator to complete this activity. Now complete the population shift calculations on your Worksheet. When you are done, you can move on to another activity - making a chlorapleth map. It's a way of showing the results of your calculations using color.
