Timeline of Important Firsts
In order to complete this Maryland Exploration, you will
need to review all of the important things that happened for the first
time at St. Mary’s City.
Use this worksheet as you visit the Significant Firsts web page from the Historic
St. Mary's City Museum web site. Write your
notes about the important events that happened for the first time in
St. Mary’s City here:

Now, choose the six events you think are the
most important and interesting and arrange them in chronological
order. You could number them in your notes — use the number one
for the event which happened first, and then number the events in
chronological order through number six.
You should make your timeline of important firsts that happened at
St. Mary’s City on the back of this paper, or on another sheet of
paper. To make a timeline, remember that you will have to draw a line
and label the events with the dates they happened above the line, and
to write the information about the event below the line.
